The 2019 William Buckley Classic Results

When: Saturday & Sunday November 16 & 17
Where we stay: On course at Peppers Resort at The Sands Torquay
Round One: Anglesea Golf Club (Saturday)
Round Two:  The Sands Torquay (Sunday)
Who: You and your mates playing in two-ball ambrose teams
How much loot: $459 pp twin-share OR $599 pp single room.

The 14th William Buckley Classic was held over the weekend of Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th of November 2019. The venue was the superb Anglesea Golf Club and The Sands Torquay Golf Course, just a spear chuck away from one of Buckley's regular homes on the banks of Bream Creek.

The accommodation was on-course at the luxurious Peppers Resort at The Sands Torquay and the format was 2-ball ambrose stableford over 36 challenging holes of golf on two superb golf courses.

The tournament was contested in great spirit and was once again an awesome test of golf on some super courses. On the first day, Joel Matthews & Roger Templer (The Aireys Inlet Slicers) dominated Anglesea GC to lead by one shot over Dean Connell & Kirk Hayward (The Torquay Hookers) and Jason Pratt & Joe Amenta (The Coonewarre Revivors). On the second day the swoopers came from everywhere witht the leaderboard chpping and changing all day as teams battled the might Sands Tourquay layout. When the dust had settled, just one shot separated the top three teams with The Coonewarre Revivors cominh out on top for a brilliant win. The final placings were:
