The sixth William Buckley Classic was held over the weekend of Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd of October 2011. The venue was the Beach Course and the Creek Course at the superb 13th Beach Golf Links in Barwon Heads, just a spear chuck away from one of Buckley's regular homes on the banks of Bream Creek. The accommodation was on-course at the luxurious Barwon Heads Resort at 13th Beach (formerly The Hawthorn Suites) and the format was 2-ball ambrose stableford over 36 challenging holes. Below we see WBC debutant Bill Shanks loading up for his tee shot on the first hole of The Beach Course on Sunday morning.

The tournament was contested in good spirit and featured great weather with the courses in top condition. The competition was not as tight as previous years with Diesal & Dust storming out to an early lead on the first day and then managing a solid round on day two to stave off several challenges. The title was still on the line with just a few holes to play with a big bunch chasing the leaders and trying to reel them in. In the finish, there were just four shots between second and seventh place, but none of the chasing pack could peg back the leaders who played superb golf throughout the 36 holes. When the dust had settled and the scorer had set down his abacus, it was Diesal & Dust by four shots in what was another great tournament. The final placings were:
