The 2018 Kelly Gang Shootout Results
The 13th Kelly Gang Shootout was held at Cobram-Barooga Golf Club over the weekend of July 21 & 22, 2018 and was a helmet-full of fun for all involved. Ten unscrupulous teams lined up for a 4-player per team shootout with 2-ball ambrose on the Saturday and 4-ball ambrose on the Sunday making it a 54-hole event. The teams were:
The Glenrowan Hacks: Nick Randone, Ashley Davis, Brendan Davis & Adrian Jackson
The Euroa Removalists: Matthew Pitt, Simon Lovett, Matthew Thomas & Chris Hatten
The Beechworth Boys: Gavan Doran, Ian Steer, Paul White & Cam Thompson
The Frosty Beveridges: Shane Morris, Johnny Morris, Brian Davis & Adrian Gaudie
The Mansfield Wombats: Robbie O'Donnell, Andrew Dalgairns, Liam Aggett & Tom Aggett
The Jerilderie Gents: Joel Matthews, Roger Templer, Pete Jensen & Wayne Dyson
The Avenel Gang: Richard Fellner, Darren Nelson, Pete Calverley & Dean Mitchell
The Benalla Burglars: Mark Henderson, Leon Doyle, Wayne Ball & Shane Lawlor

After a thrilling weekend of golf and jocularity, a great time was had by all and The Beechworth Boys stole the championship with a dazzling display of ball-striking on Saturday to set up a big lead that they managed to cling to on Sunday as the swoopers came charging after them.
