2009_WBC_Champs_home.JPG

Michael Van Raay (Kingo) and Michael Mileo (Seve) have won the 2009 William Buckley Classic at 13th Beach Golf Links by the narrowest of margins. In 2006, they won the inaugural event by belting the field, but this time it was a stirring come from behind win. For more, check out the 2009 WBC Results page.

Above we see Tezza, Foxy, Dee & Simmo of The Stringybark Creek Freaks, the 2009 Bushranger Cup Champions. After missing a birdie putt on the final hole in 2008 to force a playoff, this year they produced another heart-stopping finale with a birdie on the last hole to win the greatest social golf event in Australia by a single shot. For more, see the 2009 BC results page.

On Saturday November 22, the final of the Victorian Social Golf Club Championships (VSGCC) was played at Eynesbury golf course after five months of intense competition and four gruelling Qualifying Rounds. When the dust had settled, it was the Thunderbolts from Bushranger Golf that prevailed to take out the VSGCC in it inaugural year. Above we see the members of the winning team, Dave Regenspurger, Louise Tornerhielm, Matthew Thomas & Michael Mileo posing proudly with the VSGCC Perpetual Trophy after the presentation.
