BRG Handicap Day - July 23 2010 - Cobram-Barooga (West Course)

The twelfth Victorian Bushranger Golf Handicap Day for 2010 was held at Cobram-Barooga (West Course) as a prelude to the 2010 Kelly Gang Shootout with great prizes and POY points up for grabs. Above we see new Bushranger Greg Buxton hitting his approach on the par four 9th hole. Below we see 2008 KGS Champion Shane Morris (left) with the new leader in the 2010 BRG Player of the Year, Roger Brown (centre), as 2009 KGS Champion Gav Doran tends the pin for Pete Russell (out of shot) on the 18th green.

Below we see Ian Crotty getting his weekend off to a flying start with a bit of showmanship on the 18th green. From the back fringe he chose to chip with his driver and after chilly-dipping that effort, he delighted the huge gallery by electing to putt with his diver and holing out for a rock solid bogey to finish - complete with a salute with the driver as the ball went in the hole.

Format: Individual Stableford.
Course: Cobram-Barooga (West Course).
Field: 20 rowdy & unscrupulous Bushrangers.
Weather: Sunny and windless - good conditions for scoring.

Above is the prize pool that was on offer at 2010 Handicap Day # 12. Below we see the winner on the day, Adam Rudd, the only man to get the better of the West Course and beat his handicap, celebrating with his booty at the presentation ceremony after the 2010 Kelly Gang Shootout held over the weekend.
