The 2013 Kelly Gang Shootout Results

The 8th Kelly Gang Shootout was held at Rich River Golf Club over the weekend of July 27 & 28, 2013 and was a helmet-full of fun for all involved. Eight unscrupulous teams lined up for a 4-player per team shootout with 2-ball ambrose on the Saturday and 4-ball ambrose on the Sunday making it a 54-hole event. The teams were:

The Glenrowan Hacks: Matthew Thomas, Jeremy Dray, John Smith & Andrew Berry
The Stringybark Creek Freaks: Ian Crotty, Sebastian Shand, Richard Fellner & Mick Van Raay
The Beechworth Boys: Neil Hocking, Matthew Pitt, Gavan Doran & Nick Sutherland  
The Frosty Beveridges: Rob Lugton, Chris Stimmel, Peter Rowe & Graeme Silvester
The Benalla Burglars: Mark Henderson, Shane Lawlor, Pete Russell & Leon Doyle
The Euroa Removalists: Chris Hall, Brendan Davis, Leo Ryan & Mick McCombe
The Corowa Borrowers: Paul Gray, Frank Reynolds, Wayne Ball & Kerry Ball
The Jerilderie Gents: Darren Nelson, David Parisi, Russell Esposito & Garry Mason

When: Saturday & Sunday July 27 & 28, 2013
Where: The Corowa Golf Club
What: A 36-hole siege of various fun formats
Why: For loads of fun, glory, trophies & prizes
Entry: $310. Full payment is required a month prior.
Extras: A warm up game at noon on Friday July 26 ($35 pp & $20 pp for carts)

After a thrilling weekend of golf and jocularity, a great time was had by all and The Glenrowan Hacks stole the championship with a super finish to the tournament where they won in a sudden death playoff to run away with the title. Below we see the champs (Jeremy Dray, Andrew Berry, Matthew Thomas &  John Smith) posing with The Glenrowan Perpetual Trophy.
